hi,
i am an electronics beginner, but would like to connect two rfm12 (not rfm12b) to talk to each other via arduino.
i seem to have connected everything fine and i can also use the configuration of the node so it seems to be connectet right.
now you mention on this post

Update – Thanks to R. Max’s comment below, the problem has been solved: the RFM12 does not support arbitrary 2-byte sync patterns, it has to be 0×2D + 0xD4 – then it works fine!

but i could not find out where to make this adaptations and in which part of which code.
please could you explaine me a little bit more detailed what to do to make the packet transmissions possible

If you're using the RF12 driver: use group 212 == 0xD4 (3rd arg in rf12configure().

Hi

If you really use the RFM12 and not the RFM12B do not forget the pullup resistor, without the RFM12 hangs after a short period or even at startup.

after i tried the transmission of the raw data block example, i could send and receive from one arduino to another
( http://wiki.jeelabs.net/p/38 )
in the rfm12demo on the other arduino i got exactly what i expected.
when i try the serial or the broadcast examples, it seems as if nothing would happen (in the serial monitor).
do you have ideas what i do wrong ?

The raw example does not use interrupts - check the pull-up needed for RFM12 and the connection to the INT0 (D2) line.

you were right, there was no connection with the nIRQ, now everythink works !
