New question J.C. ;)
Wher can i find connected usb device name in windows? I know that i can set it for ft232 chip, but i have some PL2303 cables, witch i think can not be changed. You have names like "usb-A8007Up6", please explain.i only found "FTDIBUS\VID_0403+PID_6001+FTRA4WMZA000"(ft232) and "USB\Vid_067b&Pid_2303\5&6a74c7&0&2"(pl2303) in registry. Device manager shows the same.

The only thing I know about it is in the code I added to JeeMon - see http://code.jeelabs.org/viewvc/svn/jeelabs/trunk/jeemon/kit/rigs/SysDep.tcl
The original post was http://news.jeelabs.org/2010/02/21/serial-usb-devices/ - but I'm sure you've seen that...

To follow up - is there a way to export your entire registry and send it? (well, assuming you're willing to consider that)
We might be able to fidn a way to extend the current rules for more types of USB interface chips. Not everyting uses FT232, as you point out.

Hello, JC!
What is the status of JeeMon for Windows? Did you have time to look at the usb - serial connections problems?
ThanksPosted 4 months ago # -
