Hi, this might be the better place to talk about my decision also mentioned here:

I know there is no right time to buy since there will always be improvements but i do not want to start with multiple nodes and sensors just short before some major changes.
Is there a timeline somewhere that i missed out? Are there any big changes coming up that should make me wait another month?
@MarvinGS - apologies for not responding sooner.
The only essential difference between JN USB v2 and v3 will be that the v3 will support LiPo batteries (I hope - it has yet to be tested). It will take another week before it's ready for the shop (unless I made some silly mistake on the board).
It is of course up to you, and as you say there will always be something new in the future. But I wouldn't call this a "major change". If you decide to go ahead - your Wireless Starter Pack can go out tomorrow (I have all the parts in stock again).

Unfortunately LiPos are of special interest but i guess that can wait for later experiments. I can't wait - just checked out my cart ;)

MarvinGS made the right decision on this.
It's a good point to remember that all the previous JeeNodes can be utilized in many possible applications. I haven't even counted how many boards I have, yet, there's always room for more! I'm sure that each and every board will be broadcasting their readings happily to JeeMon, once the database logging is simple enough for me to get a grasp on that. :-)
