Hi !
I'm Christophe from France.
Thank you Jean Claude for all your work on JeeLabs and for this new forum ;-)
I present myself : Christophe, i living in Normandy (Balleroy).
First, i'm sorry for my bad english, i try to better myself, but I do a lot of mistakes...
I love play with microcontroller (Atmel Avr), i start to build some gadgets to add features to my first hobby -> R/C modeling. My last projet is O24RCP (http://www.o24rcp.org), it's the project of a friend and me (Avr, Xbee, ...).
Now i living in "my" home, i can do now what i wanted to do for years -> be able to talk with my home !
First, i would log energy consumption to learn where i could change/modify something to reduce my energy consumption -> make energy savings, reduce CO2 and save money, naturally.
I began to think (i can still do this?), research (tanks google) etc. and I came across JeeLabs.
Jean Claude has developed a great solution... It is very promising, congratulation JC !
I developed a prototype close to a JeeNode, i use Avr, sensors and Xbee for the wirless side. But RFM12 could make the same thing but for less money !
To win time, i just ordered 2 JeeNode (thanks again JC).
My JeeNode adventure has just started !
My first idea is connect my electric power meter to a "node" (french power meter have an interface and give tons of informations, it's easy to get them).
I will do the same with my wather meter, but need a spacial "mods" to count the "m3 wather consuption".
For the "hub", i should get a new gadget soon, a digi Rabiit core 5000 with Wifi interface, but it's too early to talk about it, I must discover how it works before!
Too many idea, not enough time ;-)
Christophe.
