Salut/Hallo/Hello Michael. Ok, I'll bite. But not before pointing to this post and [this post](http://news.jeelabs.org/2010/05/12/there-is-a-reason/). I find the numbers game a bit shallow.
> [How] many JeeNodes are there in the wild?
Over 1000 by now. Well, that's from the European side of Jee Labs. You'll have to ask Modern Device for their side, but I understand it's going well there too.
> How many Plugs?
I don't know. Lots of LCD, RTC, Output, Gravity, and Pressure Plugs - the latter probably not tied to JN's. It's hard to put a finger on what is popular, since all the plugs came out at a different time.
> average amount of JeeNodes ordered by one person?
Uh oh, now we're getting into statistics. Lemme see, what metric shall I use ... ;)
As expected, most people get two. Some get 10. I've got about 15 around the house at Jee Labs. But the real surprise (which I see as a big compliment) is that lots and lots of people return and get more JeeNodes once they've got a few going.
> Are there some schools/universities which posses[s] JeeNodes?
I've been involved with supplying JeeNodes and RBBB's to two schools/universities so far. I'm very pleased that both told me they really like the stuff.
> How many bag's of candies did the JeeLab's already send in the world?
Ah, I see you saved the most important question for the end :)
We've got a little ritual here. Whenever a 1-kilo box of Haagse Hopjes is emptied, Jee Labs treats my wife, my daughter, and me for a meal in a nice local restaurant. We've enjoyed that luxury 3 or 4 times so far :)
At the risk of sounding a bit touchy-feely: you know what really gets me going? You folks. You come up with fun stuff. You keep me honest by pointing out the weaknesses. You bring in your own fields of expertise. And with your questions and suggestions, you are helping me venture out in new directions. Maybe all the JeeStuff looks orchestrated. But it isn't. There is no master plan. Sure, I've got ideas and preferences - good ones and bad ones, like everybody else. But many new developments are driven by questions and pointers to fascinating info. The Wisdom of the Crowds, as James Surowiecki would say.
We've barely scratched the surface of what can be done in the field of Physical Computing, and it's all in reach for more people than ever before. I can hardly wait to see what the future will bring us.
Let's go back to fun projects now.
