I just have to tell the world that I got my first SMD kit soldered by hand to work. Yes, it is a JeeSMD. As I never before soldered anything in SMD I had to learn a lot. Eg. you can't just put the parts on the PCB and solder.. If you do this the parts will give you a standing ovation (-,
As planned I use the this JeeSMD in combination with the FlashBoard as portable ArduinoBootloader flasher. On the way to this goal I bumped into some minor problems. As the JeeSMD has no FTDI connector you have to connect the USBBUB with the "PWR/SER/I2C" port. But at the same time you need the FlashBoard on top of it what blocks exactly that port. At the end I prolonged the PlugHeaders temporarily. Next problem is how to attach the power source ...? (The two "big" holes aside the SPI port, do they have a specific funtion? Couldn't they be connected to the PWR and GND?)
I will command an other JeeSMD Kit and do some pictures in the soldering process this time. If a total beginner can solder this kit every one with some solder practice will get it running.
