Hi,

I'm using Jee Node with 3.7V Li-Ion Battery over an MAX1811.
(Connect BATT from MAX1811 to the BATT Connector on the JeeNode and GND to GND)

Very convenient is the charching by USB cable over MAX1811 (only Vcc and GND used).

This could be an option for future layouts for Jee Node .Especially for Jee Link which already have a USB connection.

This is very much like the MAX1555 I've been experimenting with. You could use a JeePlug to create a little board which passes all the signals through and inserts the circuit you describe between the power lines. I've been looking into this, but I can't decide on a LiPo battery size and on how to physically mount things together... maybe just a tiny pass-through after all?
