    First of all I've to admit you've done a great job!
    I'm considering to buy a few JeeNodes to start my domotica adventure.

    In my research I found a nice (cheap and low power) CPU board called Bifferboard (http://sites.google.com/site/bifferboard/)

    As I'm new to linux, so I'd like to ask if there is any chance your JeeMon software is able to run on a Bifferboard with an JeeLink attached?
    I just want to prevent in spending hours and hours getting it configured and finally find out it is not going to work at all...

    Ooh, that's a cutie :)

    You'll need some external memory to store the executable and the database / datafiles - presumably in the same place as where the rest of Linux is (SD? CF? USB?).

    The lack of floating point hardware might make the system a bit slow - but it works, as proven by the MMnet1001 from Propox I tried a while back.

    Is the USB port a device port or a host port? I.e. does this Bifferboard hook into a USB slot or do you hook USB devices up to it?

    JeeMon may need to be recompiled for such a 486 system - I'd be willing to have a go at that. So what would the low end look like to hook such a system up to Ethernet and USB, and have some sort of storage for programs and data? Just a BB?

    Hey, JeeMon might actually run out of the box on this thing:

    $ file JeeMon-linux
    JeeMon-linux: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), for GNU/Linux 2.6.9, dynamically linked (uses shared libs), for GNU/Linux 2.6.9, stripped
    $
