Hi, Is there anybody with a suggestion about housing jeenode4 with room board. I'm looking for a good solution in placing the pir, sh11 end light sensor in a way thee bring us full information. I like the box with Carrier board but not for this. Any suggestion..
How to build a home for roomboard?

One fun example can be found in this discussion:
Linked there is this blog with a jeenode housing (although I'm not sure he's using the room board or re-using the airwick sensor):

I used this quite small and very low-priced motion detector to house JN. It has a + wall mount and battery compartment too, that takes four AAA batteries. Fitting JN + Room board requires some cutting, but the end result looks relatively (as always) decent.
Hate to give the link, pls remove it if it is against the site policy.. http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.15278
PS. After fitting the Room board to the case, you end up having an extra PIR for other projects. :-)

I use an old computermouse, with a Nokia phone charger (5 volts) see

@Zooer - Nice! - I wish I knew how these guys can make things so cheaply...

Hi Zooer. Do I have to drill holes to let in humidity?

Hi! If you look closely at the pictures of the PIR case, there's a circular cut below the PIR window. That's for the piezoelectric element (also reusable). I haven't done qualified research on this, but my gut feeling and initial tests indicate that there's enough ventilation for humidity measurements. I also removed the switch on the side, leaving another vent hole. Come to think, that switch could be utilized somehow, too...

I also did a cardbox case and used a 5V usb transformer.

Hi. I think I do have to explain. To avoid a lot of card boxes in every room. I like to collect the following data: Light, Temp, humidity, movement but also smoke or maybe heat and co2. Locating all these sensors on the best position for all of them it is necessary to place them on moor then one location. On the sealing: movement, to overlook a big area, heat, co2?, and smoke. Some ware 2/3 height of the room, room temp and light. I like the solution of Zooer but I sink in my case the sealing some ware in the middle compensating the room temp. is maybe the best? Any ideas?

Perhaps smoke and other gas detectors should be placed in optimum locations - for the sake of safety! But an interesting idea to add a smoke detector, perhaps just an addition to the conventional smoke detectors. Would it be a difficult task? We do have some unused Ports available in JN even with Rooms board!
I have to add that I forgot to mention one additional modification needed for my PIR enclosure: I wasn't able to fit the JN with the IC socket so had to solder the MCU directly to the JN PCB. That might be a bit risky, but mine works no problem. Also ordered about 10 of those PIRs to be used with Jee.
