Hi All,
I'm building a watering system with a jeenode and relay boards at the 'centre'. They are going to be in watertight boxes. A simple question, but any suggestions for physically mounting the jeenode within the box?
Many Thanks Dan

Mounting the Jeenode is something I've wondered about too. Sure it would be nice to have some mounting holes, but of course that will make it bigger.
In the two situations where I have mounted mine I have used a blob or two of hot glue in one design (it was quite a firm fix in the box too), and in the other I have a custom board built on strip board providing some interfacing. I made this board far larger than was required, soldered on the 4 port male plugs, even on the ports I wasn't doing anything with. The strip board was cut to fit firmly into the mounting slots in box I was using, and the Jeenode then plugs onto the male pins soldered to the strip board. It's very firm and shouldn't come loose, but as mine get moved about a lot I put a bit of foam in the box which keeps a little bit of pressure on the Jeenode so it doesn't even think about coming lose.
I haven't made that many setups with enclosures yet, but the upside-down setup is what I've been using most of the time so far (apart from the Carrier Board with Box), i.e. a board with the rest of the electronics, and the JN stuck on it with the components facing down.
Hot-glue and double-side tape can do wonders, of course - but it's, ehm... more permanent.
Thanks,
Prob what I'll go for is a 'upside down' approach - a custom stripboard carrier with mounting holes and the jeenode 'piggybacking' on top. Easy then to debug etc.
Cheers Dan
