I received a jeelink and a jeenode from Modern Devices last week. When trying to get them to communicate I noticed that the version of RF12demo on the jeenode was RF12demo.6 while the version on the jeelink was RF12demo.3 and they would not contact by wireless.
I thought I should try to get both devices to the same level of the demo software and tried to upload RF12demo.6 to the jeelink using Arduino.18. The upload failed with the message: avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x00 avrdude: stk500_disable(): protocol error, expect=0x14, resp=0x20
I moved the jeelink to two other computers and failed again with the same message.
Then I compiled RF12demo.6 and successfully uploaded it to the jeenode and also a Boarduino I happen to have on the bench.
It's as though the jeelink has a faulty or missing bootloader or does not reset on the upload. I believe this because if I set the jeelink to any node (say "B")and then try to upload, the jeelink node changes to "Q" as though the upload process sends a "Q" to the running jeelink. Is there any way to reset the jeelink before uploading?
