I'm trying to get the LCD plug running on an arduino I've got the plug shield and the LCD plug connect to an arduino. The example LCD_demo compiles and uploads correctly, but no results. Is there something obvious I am missing about the differences between jee node and arduino and the ports library?
LCD plug on arduino(3 posts) (2 voices)
Check the pin numbers (you could use a LED + resistor to see that the correct pin is sending out pulses). Use port 0 if you want to use analog 4 + 5 on the arduino. Is the backlight turning on? Then you have communication, and may need to tweak the tiny contrast trimpot on the LCD Plug - there is usually only a narrow range in which characters are readable on the LCD.
Wow, thanks for the quick response. working like a charm now, it was indeed port 0 I needed to use.
Now all things are working, time for a hopje ;)
