I have worked in China for some time and I can say 1000 of proverbs. The best I came up for myself which I use to break the ice: "nothing is created, nothing is destroyed but everything is made in china" "all the roads lead to Shenzen" "copyrigt is enforced in china (ehm did you say copyright, copywright or copymind?)"
I have some more for the enthusiasts.

I have to say the JeeNode boards I got in the kits are very pretty with the blue soldermask and gold plating. I look at various PCBs all day at work, and the ones my company has in our products work fine, but they don't look as nice :-)
