   Hi all, I'm thinking about getting an ethernet shield based on the same chip as your Ethercard!

   What I am struggling to find is a Simple example of variable being sent to a php script.

   http://server/script.php?value=1212

   I only ask because the price of the ethershield is considerably cheaper than the official shield!

   Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

   Darell,

   There are several ways to do this. (as always) With the : $POST option it is possible to do this. Question for you: Do you want the input only when you go to the website or write a server based PHP script to update it independant of browser access.

   Thanks for the response.

   My Arduino setup Collects Data from 48 Analog Inputs (Three x16 ch Multiplexers) and stores it in X3 Arrays.

   Im using this code to send the data in VB6 which then splits it using the "," and uploads it to MYSQL for (int i=0; i<16; i++)

       Serial.print("1"); // Identifies the bank

   {

       Serial.print(Sensorarray0i;
       Serial.print(",");

   } Serial.println(); //line feed What I'm hoping to do is just pass the readings straight to a PHP script stored on a local webserver.

   It is definitively possible to send data directly through an EtherShield based on an ENC28J60. Have a look at the code in EtherCard repository, especially the clienthttppost(...). Further I recommend to look into the code on , the file testwebclient.c does basically what you want.

   @duttydea - cheaper than the official Ether Card from Jee Labs?

   Btw, watch the daily weblog. I'll be adding some examples of how to use the EtherCard library as web client soon.
