I have got a carrier board and a JeeNode (EtherBoard is going to be connected later on). I was thinking of using the FTDI connector of the Carrier Board due to better position within the case. As I didn't know, what connectors are really needed (the FTDI connector on the Carrier Board doesn't contain connections for all the pins), I added connectors for all the possibilities on the JeeNode (all ports, FTDI and ISP connector).
If I connect the FTDI board to the carrier board, both Tx and Rx LEDs are lighted and the chip gets hot.
I double checked all pins on the Carrier Board for short circuits, but there is no failure. I also handled the power plug as described in the errata (even if I don't use it at the moment). I don't have got the FTDI board from JeeLabs, but from watterott.com (where I don't expect any differences in terms of my issue).
So my question is - is there something to take care of, when using the FTDI port on the Carrier Board? Which ports really need to be connected to the JeeNode? Are there any other issues to take care of?
