I just received my EtherCard YEY. But in the middle of assembling it i noticed the two small blue capacitors were nowhere to be found. This is my first EtherCard so i don't have another one to get the part data off of it. Can someone point me the exact type of capacitor needed so that i can go buy it from a local shop ?

no biggie JC. now... i know i might sound like a real n00b, but i know i need some more info when buying capacitors like voltage, tolerance and must it be ceramic ?
i'm only asking all this because last time i went to buy a part without any prior information this is what they asked me :)
The caps I use are 5%, 50V. But probably anything will work. If you can wait a few days, I'll send 'em in an envelope. It's my fault after all...
oh. don't worry. i'll just get a couple at a local store ;) just put in an extra candy at my next bigger order :D
i just returned form the part shop. they only had this two types:

i tried using 2x10pF but they won't fit in the same hole.
What to do?
a) try harder and connect 2x10pF like those in the picture instead each 20pF
b) just put in a 22pF
p.s. JC you have to have another 'how to take photos of your projects' it took me 10min to take a decent photo of this 2 little fellows
b) is definitely worth a try, 22 pf is 10% off - I don' think the caps are that critical, but then again, I never tried messing with it next to a crystal.
Best advice I can give for simple photo's is: use daylight. Pick a spot close to a big window and put your stuff on a white sheet of paper. You may need to adjust white balance during or after the shot this time of year, but it's by far the simplest way to take a picture. I still use that approach most of the time.
You could also try the 2x 10pF instead of each 20pF. Make sure to place them in parallel, and it's ok even if they stand a little above the board.
