   Jean-Claude,

   I want to first commend you on the design of the JeeNode. I have little experience with hardware except very basic hobbyist type applications. I am a software engineer in practice but I am really interested in building some projects. One project I am interested in involves multiple temperature probes(3 or 4) and driving a fan based on the temperature of one of the probes. I would like this to send data to a PC wirelessly(temperature of probes, fan speed, etc). I had looked into the Arduino and the Wifi shield but that is quite costly and may be overkill for what I need. If I used a JeeNode and a JeeLink, the PC with JeeLink could always have a webserver on it which other devices could retrieve the data coming from the JeeNode. I think you could also have multiple JeeNodes talking to a JeeLink, too. Do you think this kind of project fits well with the JeeNode design? Any suggestions or recommendations are greatly appreciated. Thanks

   Thx. Sounds like a good match - I do essentially exactly the same as what you describe, using a bunch of room sensor nodes around the house and electricity/gas meter info coming in as well.

   Leave the RF12demo running on the JeeLink and you'll see data coming in over USB as lines of text of the form "OK nodeid byte1 byte2 byte3 ..." (lower 5 bits of nodeID will be 1..31 to identify the origin of the packet).

   You could hook up the fan to one of the ports of a JeeNode (how will depend on electrical details) and then write some code for it to listen to incoming packets and control that fan.
