I'm familiar with Arduino, and I've designed several of my own boards incorporating the ATMEGA328 IC using the Arduino bootloader. I'm not familiar with the JeeNode's capabilities, though.
Let's say I want to send MIDI Program Change and Continuous Controller messages across a stage using a couple of JeeNodes. One would be connected to the MIDI Out of a sequencer, the other connected to the MIDI In of an instrument. Messages initiated by the sequencer would be routed wirelessly to the instrument.
MIDI is a 7-bit serial protocol at 31250 baud. It's pretty simple, or at least this application is a simple case.
Can I use the JeeNode to transfer MIDI or other serial data wirelessly? I imagine I'll have to use NewSoftSerial or similar - do the radio modules use the regular UART pins?
