Perhaps a more detailed explanation:
I am looking for some advice on how to determine the format of some wireless transmissions from a sensor device. I am using an RFM22B module to handle the RF portion. There are two sensor devices I am looking at. One uses the AMIS-52100M chip, 402 mHz, OOK modulation. The second uses the 915mhz TR1000 chip, again OOK modulation. My guess is that the technical part of the transmission is dependent on the RF chip (Rx Bandwidth, etc).
Ideally I would like to get the module to provide me the raw transmission data so I can analyze it and reverse the format (I know some of the elements in the transmission. Transmitter ID, etc). Mike M over at http://www.open.com.au/mikem/arduino/RF22/index.html has been very helpful, but his snoop sketch only snoops RF22 formatted transmissions. I know that I could put an oscilloscope on the chip somewhere to get this information, but I think that it should be do-able in the RFM22 module.....right?
